Istanbul 2010 - A Bridge too far

Istanbul has a unique chance next year; as one of the European Cultural Capital cities of 2010 it can profile and expose itself to Europe and at the same time boost its accession process with the EU. You will hear, of course, many sceptics since Istanbul is not Turkey and Turkey not Istanbul. But as the Cultural and Commercial city of Turkey it can play an important role by showing the will and nature of the Turkish people; being equal among Europeans.
