Racists, anti-globalists, swine flu etc.

When the AIDS epidemic began officially in June 1981, it was widely considered exclusively a "gay disease." Now everyone should know that AIDS is a worldwide epidemic; and most AIDS cases are heterosexual, not homosexual. But homophobic and racist were and are not convinced. In the early years of the epidemic when the cause was unknown and when HIV was in the blood supply, hemophiliacs were decimated by AIDS. Hemophilia does not cause AIDS - and neither does homosexuality. AIDS is caused by a virus, not by a genetic defect or by a lifestyle.
Rascist believe that the AIDS epidemic originate from the black race in Africa.
Which is nonsense; the AIDS epidemic first broke out in Manhattan in 1979, not in Africa, where the epidemic did even not begin until the autumn of 1982. It broke out in Manhattan via the experimental hepatitis B vaccine programs that took place first in NYC in 1978, and continued in other cities until 1981.

During the Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) outbreak in China in the spring of 2003, the same racists and now also conspiracy theorists and other nutheads had different opinions about this flu; SARS virus could be a biological weapon manufactured by the United States, who perceived China's rise as a potential threat to its dominance and superiority in the world, and the ‘yellow race’ was inferior according these racists. Later, some of these Chinese conspiracy theorists admits that these allegations were only speculations, and that there was not any concrete proof from the study of the virus's genetic sequence.

Now, with the outbreak of the swine flu, the same racists, conspiracy theorists and white supremacists (all mainly in the USA) see the disease as result of a disastreus immigration. And the antigovernment conspiracy theorists note ominously that “this Monday, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon stoked the fear of a global flu pandemic. He said the Mexican flu outbreak is the ‘first test’ of the “pandemic preparedness work undertaken by the international community over the past three years.”“Ki-moon, the United Nations, and the globalists, with the participation of the globalist-dominated corporate (Zionists) media and the ruling elite in Mexico, are hyping the flu outbreak as a possible pandemic in order to sell us their scheme for world government. (read more here)

Isn’t it sad that every time when a virus is discovered these racists and conspiracy theorists try to take advantage of it for the solely purpose; ‘using it for their own agenda’…

There's someone always looking for a scapegoat..."good" ole USA. I have become a skeptic about a lot of news now because I think the media is used by particular persons or organizations to further their own agenda. Have you seen "Wag the Dog"? I am sure there is some truth to it.

By the way,'spine' flu? (in the title)

Yes, it's very sad that these ignorant folks take situations to use for their own purposes. Wherever such people are from, they all share the traits of being the most ignorant and being the most closed-minded people--who have zero tolerance for others. Very sad and tragic, indeed.

And I agree...one must be very careful about reading the news and taking it at face value. That's something I've come to understand since moving outside the US.

Great post, Hans!

Have a great day,
Sher :0)

I am not sure it is good to see a conspiracy in every outbreak.

Good post, any form of racism is a sure way of showing your ignorance as colour is not important it is what a person is like inside that counts

USA - The Kings of the world (they think) no surprises there then. They are the virus.

You have to remember that racists are always uneducated people, most are barely literate.

Hence, because of the lack of education, words like "globalisation" are easily misunderstood by them. They actually still think that there is a such thing as a conspiracy for a world government.

I for one can never imagine myself living in the USA especially - the country is simply too insular, too inward looking for me.

This latest hoopla about the virus is simply another way for the uneducated to find a reason to call for closing the border and becoming isolationists

Hans, Denford,

Turkey, Zimbabwe, etc.... they all seem to be insular countries. Doesn't anybody know pigs were imported from Mars by the devil himself? Capitalists, Communists, Catholics, Christians, Carmakers, Caretakers, Cubans and Creeps, they have all been plotting with the devil ever since he was there. Yes, and all their names start with a "c". And of course the "c" looks very much like a crescent. And it is no accident that the crescent is the symbol of....

(Being sure i have stood on a few long religious toes, i'll flee to a sunny terrace, have a beer there and prepare my stomach for a good babi pangang.)

I agree with most what you write, but I suggest you check the facts regarding the origin of Aids again http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIDS_origin has some good material (check also the references) "Most HIV researchers agree that HIV evolved from the closely related Simian Immunodeficiency Virus (SIV), and that HIV was transferred from non-human primates to humans in the recent past (as a type of zoonosis). Research in this area is conducted using molecular phylogenetics, comparing viral genomic sequences to determine relatedness." Diseases unfortunately spread from one species to the other from time to time. Aids, swine flu, mad cow disease, all these are cases of zoonosis, nothing more, nothing less. SY

Everybody knows that Dubya is responsible for everything bad that happens to the human race.

Sorry, Hans! I had to put my two-cent-worth....
Will try to find a sunny terrace, and have my glass of French wine, with French cheese, and a croissant.

All the best. :) :) :)
