Turkish prestige and image

Omar Hassan al Bashir, right, Sudan’s president, and Abdullah Gul, Turkey’s president, review a military guard of honour as Mr Bashir arrived in Ankara for last January’s state visit.
And 2 days ago, Omar Hassan al Bashir visited Turkey again for the Turkey-Africa summit.
President Gul declared that what happens in Darfur is a tragedy and the Sudanese President, who holds a press conference told journalists that the genocide claims are an International conspiracy.
Turkey is a Nato member and an EU candidate. I don't know the impact of the visits of the Iranian and Sudanese president yet, but Turkey is loosing ground, respect and will be accused to host on a cozy way these leaders. And the 'denial' stories, I heard these voices for a long time now.
Emre wrote two entries about this, you can read it here.
